Hot New Hardware
I’ve got some hot new hardware on the way. This old system I’m currently running on has finally met it’s match. The Gallery software is probably one of the biggest reasons. My wife has made good use of Gallery and it’s starting to make an impact on this system. Image transformations unsurprisingly take quite a toll on old systems.
Current System
Intel Pentium II 300Mhz, 192MB RAM, 8GB IDE
New Hotness Hardware
AMD Sempron 64 2800+, 1GB RAM, 40GB SATA
Things should be much snappier around here in a few days.

Yep, I’ll post a writeup about it. I’ll be building it out as a Gentoo machine as well so it will be a day after I get it assembled before I have it operational.
