World of Byecraft
I put the final stake in the heart of World of Warcraft. I’ve been ignoring it over the past month since I started mucking with EVE Online. I thought it was going to be more difficult to cancel my account. Not technically, but emotionally :-P. However, WoW made it easy for me. I decided that I would throw all of my gold to a friend to enjoy. I kept a few gold coins just in case I change my mind after the expansion hits. So, I needed to download the 1.9.0 patch. Surprisingly, it the 310MB download didn’t take a year with the Blizzard Downloader. Looks like that has grow up a bit finally over the past year. All patched, I logged into the game. I was greeted with a freaking server queue: “Players in Queue - 255, Estimated Time - 20mins”. WTF is that shit? This game has been around for over a year and they still have freaking server queues? That was supposed to only be around during beta. No thanks. I’ll go play a game that allows 22,000+ simultaneous players on one server without any queue, aka EVE Online. *Click* Mail cash to friend; *Click* Cancel Account; *Click* Uninstall WoW.
