Pure Digital Thought

I’m glad to say we made it through the storm. We were extremely luckly that Hurricane Rita took a turn and didn’t directly hit us. However, it did hit our neighbors to the east but I am glad that it weakened a lot before coming ashore. It could have been much worse although they did sustain quite a bit of damage.

We arrived home today from the inlaws on the west side of Houston. League City seems to have faired well. The only damage around that I could see were a few street signs that fell and also some billboards that caught the wind and got torn up along with a few tree branches. I forgot to wrap wire on our gate on the side of the house so it got a little messed up from being opened and slammed shut by the winds but really nothing that can’t be fixed with a little 2×4 piece and some screws.

I’m about to go out and check out a friends house who is out of town to make sure there isn’t any damage to his house. Then, I’ll be back to finally rest and relax a bit after having a pretty long week.
