CT: Sex and Entertainment
This is the first post in the category for “Conspiracy Theory”. In this category, I’ll post good thoughts gone horribly wrong. So, I’ll pick some hot topic and twist it up for fun.
Today’s topic is “Sex and Entertainment”.
Wonder why people get all uptight about sex coming up in entertainment? It’s a pretty hot topic right now. You’ve got the Janet Jackson boob-flash during the Super Bowl and the more recent GTA:SA Hot Coffee mod. Both of these things caused such uproar and the FCC, ESRB, and every other lettered agency were jumping up and down about it. Why?
It’s simple really. See, the government isn’t all up in arms about this because they care. It’s because of the lobbying in Washington. Who the hell would lobby against it? Religious folks? Nope. The government doesn’t care about the religious folks crying about it. They care about the folks that really give them the goods: The Marketing Lobbyers.
Why? Sex sells in America. See in other countries like Europe or Australia they’ve got boobs flopping out everywhere. No one even notices anymore. That would crush our poor marketing people who aren’t creative enough to sell something unless it has sex on it. Therefore, they lobby to control the amount of sex out there so we don’t get desensitized to it. How would AXE sell their stuff if they didn’t have the AXE Effect; which is great stuff by the way. The women go crazy just like they do in the commercials.
Kids in Europe play Sims 2 with full nudity. They’ve grown up for generations with sex in media and they haven’t turned out to be crazies… well, I won’t speak for France… but you know what I mean. So, as you can see, it’s quite clear. Sex and entertainment don’t mix only because marketing people don’t want it to mix so they can sell you sex and make you buy their crap. Convinced? ![]()
