Bloggin’ From Nowhere
I’m out here in Sattler, Texas about to go tubing and beer drinking. I’ll edit the post later with more details but I wanted to at least post the coordinates for Google Map to a piece of land my father-in-law is looking to buy. It’s six acres on a high ridge at 1200ft and the Google Map sat link is right here.

So we made it through the day without breaking any bones or splitting any heads on the rocks. The river had several dams along the way that you had to go over and the current flip my tube over in one spot. I almost lost my hat and sunscreen. But, all in all it was fun. The father-in-law didn’t “win” the plot of land he wanted. See, at this place when you are interested in a plot you put down your money and when the land opens for purchase if there are more than one person trying to buy the land they actually hold a coin toss to see who “wins” the right to purchase it. So, looks like we’ll be going back tomorrow to see if there is another piece he wants. Apparently, there was an eight acre plot in the same area that he might look into tomorrow.
Anyway, relaxing now with some Aloe lotion for the sunburn and a martini to dull the burn. We’ll be back tomorrow and hopefully I’ll be back in time to work on that Samsung review.
Second Edit:
We went back to the land on Sunday and my father-in-law scored a 13.125 acre plot of land that was just across the street from the one I posted about on Saturday. Awesome stuff. It should be fun to go out there and clear out trails for walking the land. It also appears that there is a creek that crosses the backside of the property. The property itself has a 120′ decline from the top where the house would be to the bottom where the creek is located. Nice.
